VIS S.A., a company active in the Greek market since 1936 in the field of industrial packaging, is seeking to hire for its factory in Volos:

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

The position reports to the General Manager of the VIS factory in Volos.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of all employees and compliance with all local environmental and safety regulations.

• Develop the Technical Team (Electricians and Mechanical Engineers) through training, education, and teamwork.

• Prepare the annual Maintenance budget. Monitor maintenance costs throughout the year in line with the budget, as well as other KPIs of the technical department, with goal-setting per section.

• Guide the maintenance department in continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S with a focus on safety.

• Coordinate maintenance scheduling to meet production requirements and manage overtime based on the preventive maintenance schedule and necessary technical interventions.

• Propose and implement major projects to improve operational performance.

• Make recommendations for technical purchases. Oversee spare parts inventory at safety stock levels.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience with industrial automation is desirable.

• Languages: Greek and English.

Professional Experience:

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.

• Experience in the paper industry is considered an advantage.

• Proven experience with Lean and Kaizen methodologies is a plus.
